A Psalm 130 Prayer

"Out of the depths [of distress] I have cried to You, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.
If You, Lord, should keep an account of our sins and treat us accordingly,O Lord,
who could stand [before you in judgment and claim innocence]?
But there is forgiveness with You,
That You may be feared and worshiped [with submissive wonder].
I wait [patiently] for the Lord, my soul [expectantly] waits,
And in His word do I hope. My soul waits for the Lord
More than the watchmen for the morning;
More than the watchmen for the morning.
O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord there is lovingkindness,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
And He will redeem Israel from all his sins."
Psalm 130 AMP

Oh Lord, I cry out to you. Hear my voice from the depths of despair! Let your ears be tuned to the voice of my earnest requests and deepest heart desires. If you, Lord, kept a count of my sins, I could never stand before You and claim any kind of innocence. I deserve punishment, but because of You, Jesus, I have, instead, forgiveness.

Thank you, Lord, for this gift of grace. You deserve to be revered and worshiped all the days of my life. And so, I wait patiently for You. My soul expectantly waits for Your word. I put my hope in You. My soul waits for you more than the watchmen waits for the morning.

Lord God, may all people who have heard Your truth, know Your promises, received forgiveness, obey Your commands put their hope in You alone. For with You there is lovingkindness. With You there is abundant redemption. Hallelujah! And You will redeem Your people from all of our sins. You will fulfill all of Your promises. Glory to You, O God! Amen.
