"Praise the Lord! Let all that I am praise the Lord.
I will praise the Lord as long as I live.
I will sing praises to my God with my dying breath.
Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there. When they breathe their last, they return to the earth, and all their plans die with them.
But joyful are those who have the God of Israel as their helper,
whose hope is in the Lord their God. He made heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them. He keeps every promise forever.
He gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry.
The Lord frees the prisoners. The Lord opens the eyes of the blind.
The Lord lifts up those who are weighed down. The Lord loves the godly. The Lord protects the foreigners among us. He cares for the orphans and widows,
but he frustrates the plans of the wicked. The Lord will reign forever.
He will be your God, O Jerusalem, throughout the generations. Praise the Lord!"
Psalm 146 NLT
Faithful Father, praise be unto You! My soul will praise you as long as I live and even in my dying breath. For you are worthy of praise. You alone can save, can fulfill promises, can provide. No man or woman can give me the help I need. My confidence is in You, Lord. You are my helper, and I am blessed with joy.
You are also my hope, my God, Maker of heaven and earth. You keep every promise forever. I rejoice knowing my promises will be fulfilled. Praise be unto You! You give justice to the oppressed, food to the hungry, freedom to the prisoners, and sight to the blind. Lord God, I love how you lift up those who are weighed down and how you love those who live to honor and get right with You.
Father, continue to protect those who do not know you yet and care for those who are without family. Continue to frustrate the plans of the wicked so that only Your plans remain. Lord reign forever in this land and in our hearts. You are our God. You are my God forever and ever. May all generations know You are the Lord God Almighty. Great is Your faithfulness! Praise be unto You! Amen.
