A Psalm 28 Prayer

"To you, O Lord, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if you be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the pit. Hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary.

Do not drag me off with the wicked, with the workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors while evil is in their hearts.

Give to them according to their work and according to the evil of their deeds; give to them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.

Because they do not regard the works of the Lord or the work of his hands, he will tear them down and build them up no more. Blessed be the Lord! For he has heard the voice of my pleas for mercy.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults,

and with my song I give thanks to him. The Lord is the strength of his people; he is the saving refuge of his anointed. Oh, save your people and bless your heritage!

Be their shepherd and carry them forever."

My Lord, my Rock, I come to you in prayer. Turn your ear to me and please be not silent after. Hear my voice crying to you for help, Lord. I need mercy. I need You. I lift my hands toward you. Come, rescue me. Let me not be like those who go down into the pit and become wicked. I don't want that evil in my life, Lord. I want to be in your holy sanctuary.

O Lord, my God, judge righteously as only you can and give to those according to the works of their hands their due reward. Tear down evil, Lord. You are just. Blessed be Your Name! For you hear my cry for mercy and forgive me of my sins. I turn to You and will continue to turn to You.

Lord, You are my strength, for I am weak. You are my shield, for I need protection. In You my heart trusts, and I am helped. Oh! How my heart exults and oh, how my soul sings with thanksgiving! You, Lord, are truly the strength and the saving refuge of Your people. Continue to save us and bless us! We need You. Be our good Shepherd and carry us forever. We are lost without You. Thank you, Lord, for hearing my heart thoughts and for helping me. I am Your sheep, and I will follow you all of my days. I love you. Amen.
