A Psalm 29 Prayer

"Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength.

Honor the Lord for the glory of his name.

Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders.

The Lord thunders over the mighty sea.

The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic.

The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon.

He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; 

he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox.

The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning.

The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake;

the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks

and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”

The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever.

The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace."

Psalm 29 NLT

Oh Lord, my God, I honor You. I honor You for your glory and strength and for the glory of Your holy name. I worship You, Lord, in the splendor of Your holiness. Your voice echoes above the waters and Your glory, God, thunders. You are powerful and majestic. Great are You, Lord!

One word from You, the mighty cedars split and shatter. You can make a mountain skip like a calf and leap like a young wild ox. Your voice, Lord, strikes with bolts of lightning and makes the barren wilderness quake. So, I pray, Lord, that you would continue to speak into my life and take down the trees that stand in the way of the path You marked out for me. Move the mountains that keep me from going forward. One word from You and the barren wilderness in my heart will have life again. Glory onto You!

Thank You, Lord, for ruling over my life and for being there for me even when the floodwaters have risen over me. You, Lord, are my king. You reign forever. You give me strength, and I am so thankful for You. You have blessed me with peace because you are my strength and peace. Glory be to You, O my King! I honor and praise You. Amen.
