A Psalm 34:11-22 Prayer

"Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are attentive to their cry;

but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to blot out their name from the earth.

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

The righteous person may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all; he protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken.

Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned.

The Lord will rescue his servants; no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned."

Almighty Father, I come to you as a child in need. Teach me how to fear you more in my life. I desire many good days to love and enjoy this life You have given me. Help me to keep my tongue from evil and my lips from telling lies. May only blessings and Your truth be spoken from my lips. I turn away from the evil that is trying to pervade my life. I turn to do good, to glorify You. I seek Your peace, Lord Jesus. I pursue it day and night, for it strengthens and preserves me. Thank You for this gift.

Lord, I know Your eyes are on the righteous and You're attentive to their cries of help, so I ask to get right with You today. Make my heart pure and more like Yours. Hear my prayers, Lord, and answer them according to Your will. Deliver me from my troubles and continue to strengthen me with Your peace.

Thank you, Father, for Your grace and mercy. Thank you, Lord, for staying close to me, for saving my crushed spirit, and for mending my broken heart. You know how to redeem and restore. I put my trust in You. All hope is not lost because You are my Hope. I may not see all of the ways You work, but I see the work You do in my heart to comfort me. Therefore, I will continue to take refuge in You. You will rescue me, protect me, and fight for me. I praise You. I adore You. I love You, O Lord, my God. Amen.
