I love this verse. It reminds me that no matter what I do, what I have done, and what I don't even know I've done, God will never stop loving me nor fail to keep His promise to me. Now while this verse is originally about the Lord loving King David, it's also about you and me. How? David's God is our God. He never changes and will never change (James 1:17 and Hebrews 13:8).
We can have hope that God's plans prevail even when we fail (Proverbs 19:21) or when we think others have failed us. We can come to Him in confidence knowing our sins are forgiven, He accepts us, and even uses the mistakes in our lives for His purposes. We cannot mess up so badly that these truths would ever change. We can trust God to be above all of our mistakes and poor choices. He is omnipotent and omniscient; and still, He chooses to love us and keep His promises to us. He never fails because He is Love, and Love never fails (1 Corinthians 13:8).
Jesus loves you. Let go of fear and go to this Love today. You are safe in His arms.
