Heroic Hope

"Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him."

Psalm 62:5 NLT

Hope is heroic. If your heart has been broken, disappointed, discouraged, or destroyed in some way, then to have hope takes courage, trust, and endurance. These are all qualities of a hero. Without hope, we walk in darkness. However, with hope, we have light to guide us, pull us, and push us to keep going.

Hope is knowing the sun will rise even when you cannot see it. Hope is enduring the present pain because you know the joy of restoration is coming. Hope is dreaming of good things and believing they are bound to come true. When I put my hope in God, I am assured and secure.

The Light of the world becomes my everlasting Light of hope. And so, I wait quietly before Him for the good things that are sure to come. Believe in God, for He is a Good Shepherd, and He will richly provide for your every need. The sun will rise because the Son has risen. You are loved. You are seen and heard. You are valued, and you are worthy. Hope heroically in Him again.
