The Road to Travel

In light of all this, here’s what I want you to do. While I’m locked up here,
a prisoner for the Master, I want you to get out there and
walk—better yet, run!—on the road God called you to travel.
I don’t want any of you sitting around on your hands.
I don’t want anyone strolling off, down some path that goes nowhere.
And mark that you do this with humility and discipline—not in fits and starts,
but steadily, pouring yourselves out for each other in acts of love,
alert at noticing differences and quick at mending fences.
Ephesians 4:1-3 MSG

The best way to be fulfilled in life is to "walk—or better, yet, run!—on the road God called you to travel." Only God can tell you what your call is. Man cannot. You cannot. And what exactly is a "call?" It's following Christ—doing what He has planned and purposed for you to do. You can tell whether or not if you're walking in your call because on the road of a call there is peace, protection, abundant blessings, fulfillment, and most importantly the incredible evident presence of God.

A call doesn't necessarily have to be a career, but it certainly does have to be doing something for the Lord. The beauty of a call is that it brings confidence, a sense of belonging, and joy. If you're unsure about the call God has put on your life, begin, then, by doing things Christ did in His ministry. Pour out acts of love by serving others, listening well, being kind and compassionate, praying, using your gifts to encourage others to know Christ, and lifting others up to benefit them. These acts of love will reveal the road God called you to travel.

"You were all called to travel on the same road and in the same direction, so stay together, both outwardly and inwardly. You have one Master, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who rules over all, works through all, and is present in all. Everything you are and think and do is permeated with Oneness.
But that doesn’t mean you should all look and speak and act the same. Out of the generosity of Christ, each of us is given his own gift." (Ephesians 4:4-7 MSG)

Seek God first each day and ask Him how to use you and the gifts He's given you. Pray to Him to show you the road to travel. Knock on the doors He provides, and walk through them. Let God lead you in every area of your life. You can be certain He will answer these requests and prayers. He created you, chose you, and has called you. "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'" (Isaiah 30:21) Take the road God called you to travel. It will make all the difference.
