"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven"
Ecclesiastes 3:1 KJV
✴︎ Don't worry about the future.  Our stories have already been written by the Author Himself. Therefore, we don't have to go into each day with worry; we don't have to concern ourselves about the uncertainties of tomorrow; and we don't have to try to write our own outcomes. This is why faith is necessary! We can put our unknown future into the hands of a known God, who always has our good in mind just as a loving father would do. "Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:34 CSB) Live in the present and live in the presence of the Lord. He's got you and your future.
✴︎ Keep life simple. "I do want to point out, friends, that time is of the essence. There is no time to waste, so don’t complicate your lives unnecessarily. Keep it simple—in marriage, grief, joy, whatever. Even in ordinary things—your daily routines of shopping, and so on. Deal as sparingly as possible with the things the world thrusts on you. This world as you see it is fading away." (1 Corinthians 7:29-31 MSG) It seems our culture or maybe just our human nature overcomplicates life unnecessarily. There's a saying that goes something like this: "If the devil can't make you bad, he'll make you busy." Why? Because if we're busy, then we're not being still with God. And if we're not being still, we're not keeping our life simple as God intended. Remove the things in your life that are not of God such as (1) burdens you were never meant to carry, (2) good things that are not God-ordained things, (3) distractions and temptations that are time wasters and destructive to your overall health, (4) people who bring you down instead of building you up, and (5) unforgiveness--which causes the most complication in our lives.
✴︎ Focus on Jesus.  When our eyes are fixed on Jesus and we are walking with Him--focusing every step on His ways--then we can live in the abundance of life He died to give us. We can enjoy every blessing in freedom. "Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith..." (Hebrews 12:1-2 NKJV).  Focusing on Jesus during this current season of life, whether good, bad or everything in-between, allows us to keep moving forward. Seasons are temporary; they keep changing. You will not be in this current season forever, so enjoy it by looking at it through the lens of Christ!
✴︎ Do what God has called you to do. Whatever kind of season you're in, God has called you to it. He has purpose for it. Seek what He wants you to do in this current season. Your life has value. Discover your passions. God placed those in your heart for you to use for His glory. Be a light for Him to benefit others and you'll discover in the process how much of a blessing it is to you. "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16 AMP)
✴︎ Be grateful in everything.  Gratitude breeds joy and contentment. No matter what season you're in, being grateful in everything--good, bad, or everything in-between--will give you the energy to enjoy life. God is in every moment. Therefore, there is joy in every moment. Look for Him. The more you seek Him, the more you find Him. When you find him "[give] thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." (Ephesians 5:20 ESV) Two of the most powerful words we can offer in praise are "thank you."
"If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them,
then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce,
and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit."
Leviticus 26:3-4 NKJV
